The 17th EH SONA festival, to be held from tomorrow until December in Barcelona, will offer 14 concerts and two special events. The group Lou Topet will be in charge of opening the festival with a free concert given in Passeig de Born. The biggest festival of Basque music held outside the Basque Country includes also two new features: a workshop on self-management and a festival dedicated to children: TXO. Euskal Herria Sona is organized by the Euskal Etxea with the support of Etxepare Basque Institute.

The proposal brings together different musical styles. They have opted for known groups and artists to leverage their ability to attract theaudience and publicize other less known artists. The groups that are performing at EH SONA are: Revolutionary Brothers, Lou Topet, Tania de Sousa, Zea Mays, Su ta Gar, Eratu, Balerdi Balerdi, Kashbad, Goienetxe anaiak, Mursego, Ainara Legardon, Eñaut Elorrieta, Bide ertzean, Mutxikontrapàs (Carles Belda + Javi P3z + Jon Lonbera) and Ze Esatek. The group Kasernarat festival, winner of the EH SONA contest looking for new talents, will also participate in the festival. They will perform with Zea Mays at Razzmatazz.

This 17th edition brings two novelties. On one hand, the artist Tania de Sousa will offer a workshop for self-management. On the other hand, they have organized a parallel festival for children and families: TXO. This is the space for families at EH SONA, which wants to bring the most little ones to the world of music with workshops and free concerts.
