Aquitaine.eus: "Projection Basque" Bordeaux artist-in-residence

The artist-in-residence programme "Projection Basque" will take place from January 22nd to 26th in the Bordeaux-based cultural centre Le Rocher de Palmer. The programme will include Franco-Argentinean musicians Las Hermanas Caronni (The Caronni Sisters), percussionist and sound poet from Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Benjamin Colin, and dancer Martxel Rodriguez from the  Kukai Dantza Taldea dance company of Errenteria. The residency is part of the Aquitaine.eus project, which aims to promote the joint work of artists from Aquitaine and the Basque Country. The programme will conclude with a concert on the 26th.

The participating artists will merge Argentinian photography, dance, painting and music, basing their process of creation in Bordeaux on photographs by Patxi Laskarain and paintings by Stéphane Carricondo (Collective 9th Concept).

On January 26th the residency will come to an end with a concert, where the participating artists will perform with the jazz quartet Edmond Bilal Band. Admission will be free with prior reservation through the following link.

This event is part of the Aquitaine.eus cross-border project, launched in 2016. The project promotes relations and cooperation between artists and agents from Aquitaine and Euskadi.
