The basque filmmaker Izibene Onederra will take part in the Zagreb Animafest Film Festival with her latest work “Hotzanak, for your own safety”, supported by the Etxepare Basque Institute.

Coinciding with the second edition of the Encuentro de Nuevas Formas Escénicas 3, 2, 1, meeting, AlhondigaBilbao hosts,a nomadic collective action project to be developed in a period of two years through several lands: MOV-S 2014.
The traveling initiative by Mercat de les Flors Barcelona has been supported this year by the Etxepare Basque Institute.
The first stop of MOV-S 2014 took place in Galicia, on the Isle of San Simón. The prrograma to be held in Bilbao is equally broad : workshops , meetings and interviews with professionals, prototype development , project presentations ... You can check the FULL PROGRAM.
Ander Mendia and Aitor arenas are taking part in the “King Bonn, 5th China International New Media Short Film Festival” in China. Their works will be shown in the gigant screen of a football stadium.
Mendia presents “Beerbug”, and Arenas the short film “Jugando con la muerte” (“playing with death”).
Companies from different origins, such as Greece, Italy, Poland, Belgium or Cataluña, will be gathered. They will meet Basque companies and the representation of the Etxepare Basque Institute.

The objectives are, among others, to promote the communication and information exchange between international and Basque companies, sharing different formulas when creating festivals, and opening doors to international hiring.

Once more again, the Basque language students at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan have organised the Basque Days (April 9-11), a festival that aims to bring the Basque culture outside from the University and make it known in the city. The main characteristic of the festival is the collaboration with external fundations and institutions, in order to achieve a major public. In the program of this year, we can underline the collaboration with the story-tellers group Karawana Opowiesi, the screening of the film Gazta Zati Bat (sutitled by the students of the Basque lecturership into Polish) at the Muza Cinema, the Basuw Veganfood cooked and served by the Skad Bierzesz Bialko group, the online contest organised thanks to the help of the SuperMemo publishing house, the Basque language lesson at the Science and Arts Festival, the food tasting and pintxo contest at the Pika Pika bar and the many activities organised at the Glosna and Dragon club: lectures, debates and the ending party.
Basque painter Juan Luis Goenaga opened the “Brouillards” exhibition in Paris, at the Théo de Seine Gallery, on March 13. The artist goes back to the city that hosted his first exhibitions in the 70es and where he has not put his work on display since 1988.
“Brouillards” exhibition brings the visitor close to Goenaga’s own landscapes and atmospheres: changing skies, exuberant colours, the strenght of the land…It will be open until April 5.
Carlos Gil, expert in Basque performing arts participates until January 26th in the Festival Cielos del Infinito, in Chile, with the support of the Etxepare Basque Institute.
