Cross-border collaboration begins

As part of the parallel programme of the San Sebastian International Performing Arts Fair DFeria, a professional meeting between programmers and cultural institutions from Aquitaine and the Basque Country was held at the headquarters of the Etxepare Basque Institute in Tabakalera. This meeting is the first event to be held after the signing of the Aquitaine.eus agreement between Etxpare, EKE, and the Euro-region.

The aim of this meeting was to establish an initial relationship in order to analyse possible areas of collaboration between the entities present. As the participants stressed, it is necessary to reinforce cross-border cooperation in the future, so the possibility of holding similar meetings in Leioako Umore Azoka (May), the FestÀrts festival in Libourne (August) and in Donostia in the autumn was discussed.

The meeting was attended by Akitania-Euskadi Euroeskualdea, Leioako Umore Azoka, Libourne FestÀrts, Euskal Antzokien Sarea, Bordeaux Scéne Nationale, Bayonne Scéne Nationale, OARA (Office Artistique de la Region Aquitaine), DFeria, Etxepare Euskal Institutua, Glob Théâtre de Bordeaux, Bilboko Institut Français, ELAE, ACE eta Théâtre Olympia d´Arcachon.
