Ertza, Deabru Beltzak and Zurrunkateatro, at the Fest´Arts street art festival of Libourne
Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
The International Street Arts Festival FEST´ARTSof Libourne opens today until August 8. Thanks to the agreement between the festival and the Etxepare Basque Institute, Basque dance and theater companies have the opportunity to attend the festival through the "Euskadi à Libourne" program, within the project ‘Aquitaine.eus’; this year it includes 3 Basque companies: Ertza –El show del espectador-, Deabru Beltzak -Su a feu-, and Zurrunkateatro –Kalekolore-.
Since 2012, the Etxepare Basque Institute works with Fest´arts to disseminate Basque street theater: through the "Euskadi à Libourne" project Basque companies have the opportunity to be part of the festival. It is a great opportunity to show their work to international professionals as well as to relate to new audiences and artists of the sector. It is a program promoted by the Etxepare Institute and the city of Libourne, within the project ‘Aquitaine.eus’.
Through this project the signatory institutions commit themselves to work together in two ways: firstly, they will include works by Basque artists from both sides of the border at festivals and events of Aquitaine, in different disciplines; on the other, they will promote relations and cross-border cooperation between creators and agents of Aquitaine and Euskadi.
