Giornata Mondiale della Poesia 2024: Ángel Erro

In honour of World Poetry Day, Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia and Universitá di Bologna have organised activities on 18 and 19 March under the title ‘Cuerpo, poesía e identidad’ (Body, poetry and identity) focusing on Basque and Catalan poetry. Both will feature Basque writer and translator Ángel Erro, together with Catalan poet Pol Guasch. The event is organised by the Etxepare Basque Institute lecturer Iñaki Alfaro and the Institut Ramon Llull lecturer Paula Marqués, in collaboration with both universities.

The aim is to reflect on the forms of representation and connection between the body and culture, explored through modern poetry from the Basque Country and Catalonia. The focus is also on personal and collective identity.
