Kimuak 2021

From 20 to 22 January, the 7 short films from the Kimuak catalogue will be shown in Vitoria-Gasteiz, San Sebastian and Bilbao. Films from last year´s catalogue will be screened and presented by the director of the initiative, Esther Cabero. The event will be held at the Artium Museum in Vitoria-Gasteiz on the 20th, at Tabakalera in San Sebastian on the 21st and at the Artium Museum in Bilbao on the 22nd. All three events will begin at 7:00 pm.

The aim of the Kimuak programme, managed jointly by the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Basque Film Archive, is to promote and disseminate Basque short films.

The following films will be shown:

• Azaletik azalera
• Berak baleki
• Heltzear
• Resonancias
• Trumoiak
• Ur azpian lore
• Zerua blu

The shorts began their journey at the last San Sebastian Film Festival. Since then, over 100 festivals around the world have featured works from the Kimuak catalogue. After being submitted to various competitions, this week the films will be screened publicly for the first time.
