Mari Jose Olaziregi offers lectures in German universities

Jose Mari Olaziregi, Director for Promotion and Dissemination of Basque language and Culture of the Etxepare Basque Institute, is serving a busy schedule these days, offering different talks and lectures at German universities.

On June 29 she visited the Freie Universität of Berlin to talk about "The obsession with the past in Basque literature". She also took the opportunity to meet with the heads of the readership of Basque language and Culture of the University, to strengthen the agreement and raise a broader mobility program.

On July 1, she will visit the University of Leipzig to offrer a lecture entitled "The internationalization of Basque literature" within the conference "Translating among cultures". Furthermore, on July 3 she will travel to the Goethe Universität Frankfurt, to take part at the international congress organized thanks to the Chair Eduardo Chillida, where she will speak on behalf of the Etxepare Institute.

Finally, on July 7, she will talk via videoconference with the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (Kiel) University on "The obsession with memory in Basque literature".
