New procedure to submit artistic proposals to the dance fair Tanzmesse 2016
Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
As every two year, the International Dance Fair Tanzmesse 2016 will be held from August 31 to September 3 in Düsseldorf (Germany). After the positive participation in this fair in 2014, the Etxepare Basque Institute will organize the stand "BASQUE DANCE" again in 2016, with the collaboration of ADDE. Companies can submit proposals to be included in the artistic program, but this year the procedure for submissions has changed.
In this edition, only companies that have received the invitation from a booth can submit proposals and the deadline is September 30, 2015. Therefore, those who are interested in submitting an artistic proposal through the Etxepare Institute, have to send an email to the Institute (a-aginagaldelopez@etxepare.eus) before September 11, after which they will be sent an invitation with a link to complete the application form. Companies must also send this documentation online: a video of the entire show (only a URL link where it can be downloaded will be accepted) and a Technical Rider.
Two types of proposals are accepted:
1. PERFORMANCE: Professional shows finished and ready for a tour. In this case they can be both for a theater and site-specific, and cannot be longer than 60 minutes.
2. OPEN STUDIO: Shows that are in production, unfinished in 2016. In this case the approach would be to offer some parts of the show together with explanations about the work and the process of creation, etc. offering a show-workshop.
The organization shall inform selected before January 15, 2016.
