International Day of Euskara celebrated in cities around the world with support from the Etxepare Basque Institute
The lectures, workshops, round table discussions and film screenings will be held in various locations across Europe and America, facilitated by the Institute´s international network of lectureships.

Institutional visit to Mexico
Etxepare Euskal Institute director, Irene Larraza, will be in Mexico City and Guadalajara from 27 November to 4 December to strengthen ties with cultural and academic institutions, create new opportunities for promoting Basque culture and contemporary Basque creation, and support authors participating in the Guadalajara International Book Fair.

To enhance the recognition and visibility of the Basque language and Basque studies, the Etxepare Basque Institute promotes Basque studies lectureships or chairs at prestigious universities around the world. We currently have 12 university chairs in operation, and several of them have hosted various academic activities in recent weeks.
