Opening of an exhibition on Basque Dance and a concert of Mikel Azpiroz, today in La Rocher de Palmer

The exhibition of Gabrielle Duplantier "Dantza izpiak, éclat de Danses" opens today until November 25 in the space La Rocher de Palmer, in Cenon (France). On the occasion of the inauguration, the pianist Mikel Azpiroz will offer a concert.
After de success of the exhibition SOKA, premiered in Biarritz, EKE (Euskal Kultur Erakundea) asked the photographer Gabrielle Duplantier to create a special job: to cross the Basque Country to photograph the Basque dance, with an special focus on events such as carnivals, Markaradak or Besta Berri. After presenting the results of that work in the media center of Biarritz, a sample of thirty black and white images will be presented at La Rocher de Palmer. The exhibition is organized with the support of the Etxepare Basque Institute.
Because of the inauguration, the pianist Mikel Azpiroz will offer a piano concert at 19:30 with free access. Travelling and music lead the musician’s career, who fuses jazz blues and world music.
