Basque Audiovisual, in partnership with EIKEN, the Etxepare Basque Institute and Zineuskadi, are regulars at the world’s most important entertainment content market.
From October 14 to 17, a new edition of MIPCOM will take place in Cannes, and once again, several Basque companies will be there under the name ‘Basque Audiovisual’. The event is an important platform to gain new worldwide opportunities for the Basque entertainment industry, supported by coordinated efforts of EIKEN, Basque Audiovisual and Digital Content Cluster; Etxepare Basque Institute and Zineuskadi.
MIPCOM is one the world’s leading entertainment content market and a place where the global entertainment industry converges. MIPCOM provides opportunities for Basque companies to contact producers, distributors and buyers from every continent, and promote Basque content and format in a global market. It is also an essential place to keep abreast of new trends in the sector and to show future world premieres for television.
This year, Expressive Media Projects, J.O.K Films, LA Ekoizpenak, Lotura Films, Pausoka Entertainment, Sayaka Producciones and Señor & Señora will be at Cannes at their own Basque Audiovisual stand. All animation, distribution, entertainment, documentary products and formats will be distributed through the ‘Basque Audiovisual’ catalogue. EIKEN, the Etxepare Basque Institute and Zineuskadi will also be there, working to develop international business opportunities and promote deals for Basque companies.
The most important reward that comes from Basque companies taking part in this event is that it enables meetings with international industry professionals from the entire audiovisual and digital content value chain. For this reason, promoting our region and presenting the Basque Country as the nucleus of international production are among the goals of EIKEN, the Etxepare Basque Institute and Zineuskadi.
