Success of the group Kalakan in EXIB

With the support of the Etxepare Basque Institute, the Basque group Kalakan has participated in The Iberoamerican music festival EXIB 2016-. It has been the third edition of the market, in town of Évora in Portugal, between 4 and 7 May.
The group Kalakan was perfectly integrated into the market dynamics, and held a meeting with Cantares de Évora, a traditional singing group of Alentejo (portugal). Moreover, its showcase in the Plaza de Giraldo enjoyed a great success.
On the other hand, they organized a forum dedicated to Iberoamerican minority languages, putting special attention in musical industry; the Basque musician Fran Lasuen represented the Basque musical culture.
The aim of this festival is to promote the music, to establish commitment with the contents, the diversity, and to exchange services of industry and to value the contribution of music source. By the way, the expo wants to become into a space that gathers the reality of Iberoamerican music, its last tendencies, the style and different identities; also wants to propose new alternatives, to strengthen the dialogue and to help designing strategies.
