TAC Valladolid: Basque. Performing arts.

Four Basque performing arts companies will take part in the 23rd Valladolid International Festival of Street Theater and Arts (TAC, in its Spanish initials). Lasala, El mono habitado, Trapu zaharra, and Lokke will take to the streets from 25 to 29 May, under the ‘BASQUE. PERFORMING ARTS’ brand promoted by the Etxepare Basque Institute.

Among the shows presented by Basque creators at this year´s TAC are ´Alive´ by Lasala, on 27 and 28 May; ´Benditas´ by El mono habitado, also on 27 and 28 May; ´Por hacer un favor´ by Trapu zaharra on 27 and 28 May; and the play ´Doppelgänger´ by Lokke, on 25 and 26 May.

Taking part in this high-profile festival creates new opportunities and audiences for Basque creators. Over the last few years, Basque companies have brought more than 40 shows of all kinds to Valladolid (theatre, dance, circus, musicals, installations, travelling shows...).
