Zikloa: le cycle du cinema du Pays Basque

On March 25 and 26, Paris will host the first edition of ´Zikloa. Le cycle du cinema du Pays Basque´, an event organized by the northern Basque production company La Fidèle Production, in collaboration with the Paris Basque Cultural Centre and the Etxepare Basque Institute.

The films selected for this year’s event are Pablo Agüero’s ‘Akelarre’ (‘Coven’), ‘Nora’, by Lara Izagirre, and ´Atarrabi eta Mikelats´ by Eugene Green.

The presentation of the event will take place on March 25 at La Maison Basque de Paris, where a dinner attended by cast members, filmmakers and producers of the three featured film will be held and the Chef Jon Garmendia will be in charge of the kitchen.

At the dinner, guests will be able to meet and chat informally with members of the cast, the production crew and the filmmakers.

On March 26, the three films selected for the first edition of the event will be screened in the Christine Cinéma Club hall.

Tickets for admission to the three films cost €6.  Lara Izagirre´s film ´Nora´ will be shown at 11 am followed by ´Atarrabi et Mikelats´ by Eugene Green at 2 pm. Finally, Pablo Agüero’s ´Akelarre´ starts at 4.30 pm.

The closing event, which takes place in the same venue at 7.30 pm later the same evening features an award ceremony for the Best Film voted by the audience as well as a performance by Isa Suarez -Basque Electronic Diaspora.
