Basque Yourself! More than a Summer course in Donostia

The University of the Basque Country (UPV/ EHU)  Summer Courses will include this year for the first time the Basque Yourself! 1st International Summer School  which offers university students with an interest in the culture and identity of the Basque Country a full program of seminars and cultural and recreational activities in Donostia / San Sebastián.

This new proposal was presented on 29 February by the Rector of the UPV / EHU, Iñaki Goirizelaia, the Director of the UPV / EHU Summer Courses, Carmen Agoués, and Mari Jose Olaziregi, Academic Coordinator of the program and Director for Promotion and Dissemination of Euskera at the Etxepare Basque Institute. The purpose of the course is, they said, to offer a first class academic offer, taught by internationally renowned professionals, and at the same time to give the students the opportunity to make a strong Basque cultural immersion.

Participation in the program will also allow access to the 2016 program of the Excellence in Basque Studies course organized annually by the Etxepare Basque Institute in collaboration with the UPV/EHU Summer Courses.
