Mobility
Funding for the mobility of Basque creators is key to strengthening our cultural and creative sector abroad, reinforcing presence and visibility. It is also a tool for promoting integration with international cultural professionals.
-
Translation
Translating is a bridge for promoting Basque literary creation internationally. We subsidize the translation of literary works and samples into other languages. We also recognise the value of translation through the Etxepare - LABORAL Kutxa Translation Prize.
-
Basque Studies
The Etxepare Basque Institute promotes Basque language and culture studies at international universities and institutions of higher education. Every year we organize calls for teaching staff positions, in collaboration with the universities, to provide continuity in the teaching of Basque studies.
-
Euskara
The Etxepare Basque Institute considers it important to provide opportunities to study Euskara outside the formal education system as well. Therefore, we provide funding for language classes taught at Basque centres around the world. We also offer grants to students from outside the Basque language geographical area to study Euskara at approved public and private Basque language schools (euskaltegis), and at approved self-study Basque language centres.
