One of the main focuses of the Etxepare Basque Institute is promoting Basque literature internationally. This call aims to support the translation of Basque literary works into French, increasing the visibility of Basque writers and their stories in the French-speaking market.
This call fosters:
- Translation into French of works originally written in Basque
The present call for proposals is designed to contribute at various stages of the internationalization process:
- The selected candidates will research publishers in the French-speaking world.
- A fragment of the work will be translated (if necessary)
- A publication agreement will be established with a publisher.
- Application deadline: 2026/03/23 - 2026/06/30
