The Cratère Surfaces Festival will take place from 2 to 4 July 2026 in the French city of Alès, and Etxepare Euskal Institutua has opened a call aimed at professional Basque street arts companies to present their artistic proposals at the festival. Thanks to the collaboration between Etxepare Euskal Institutua, the Basque Government, Artekale, and the festival itself, the Basque Country will be the guest country at the 2026 edition. In this context, the Basque Government will promote the participation of professionals from the performing arts sector by organising various professional activities, while Etxepare Euskal Institutua will ensure the presence of Basque companies within the festival’s programme. To shape the Basque Focus (ventana vasca), the festival’s organising body will select six Basque companies from among the proposals received.
