Malba Writers’ Residency (2026)

In collaboration with Etxepare Euskal Institutua, the Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires (Malba) has opened the call for applications for the 2026 edition of the Malba Writers Residency (REM), aimed at authors writing in Basque to undertake a stay in the city of Buenos Aires.
The residency offers an urban experience that enables engagement with a wide range of the city’s cultural expressions. It also promotes the creation of professional networks among writers, cultural managers, publishing houses, and invited authors, and encourages artistic collaboration. The residency duration is five weeks.
To be eligible, applicants must have published at least three books written originally in Basque language.
