Congratulations for Harkaitz Cano to Venice and Bologna!
Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
Basque writer Harkaitz Cano received great news yesterday while he was in Venice: he has scored his third Euskadi Prize, this time in the Youth and Children´s section, for the work Orkestra lurtarra(Elkar). The writer thanked the award via video-chat because at that time he was in Venice, participating in the talks organized by the reader of the Etxepare Basque Institute Iñaki Alfaro.
At the conference, entitled "Incontri with Basque culture and lingua" Cano gave the lecture "Art, Memory, and catharsis". The students of Enric Bou talked about different subjects for an hour and a half: literature and memory, art and catharsis, films and literature, euskera (Basque language) and the role of the writer in the current society...
On the other hand, the congress "La Spagne plurale" will begin today at the Universityt of Bologna, with the support of Etxepare Basque Institute. The conference will gather international experts, including Harkaitz Cano. On October 31 he will talk to the reader Iñaki Alfaro from 11:30 to 12:15. The conference will last two days total.
