Two Basque productions by Ttanttaka Teatroa will be on show at Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogotá, Colombia: ‘Sexberdinak’ and ‘Mi hijo solo camina un poco más lento’. There will be four performances as part of the special ‘Venta Vasca´ dedicated to the performing arts in the Basque Country. The shows will take place from 25 to 29 April at 8:00 pm (GMT -5) in the Teatro Estudio room.
‘Sexberdinak’ is directed by Mireia Gabilondo and written by Kepa Errasti together with Telmo Irureta. Telmo Irureta and Miren Arrieta will play the main characters in a tale of personal growth shared between two friends, brimming with both humour and heartache. Ttantaka Teatroa has just won the award for best production at the Max Awards for the play ´Sexberdinak´.
‘Mi hijo solo camina un poco más lento’ (My Son Just Walks a Bit Slower) is based on the play by Croatian playwright Ivor Martinic.

For the second year running, Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogotá, Colombia, has organised the special programme ´Ventana Vasca´ (Basque Window), in collaboration with the Etxepare Basque Institute.
In the upcoming months, Bogotá audiences will have the opportunity to explore the diverse artistic expressions of Basque culture, from music and dance to theatre, brought to life by Basque creators at one of Colombia’s leading theatres.
