The Basque Designers Association, this week in Milan

The project Basque Design Industries - Salone del Mobile. Milano 2016 will be held on April 12 – 17 in Milan, where Basque designers and industrial enterprises will participate. This project is promoted by the Basque Designers Association (EIDE) and supported by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Etxepare Basque Institute, within the Cooperation Programme 2015.

The aim of EIDE is to promote the presence of Basque designers in a global framework, and thus, to gather industrial enterprises and young design studios to bet for a collaboration and deep exploration. EIDE wants the traditional closeness of the Basque design to Basque industry to be perceived as a valuable and singular distinguishing feature. All of this, under the motto Basque Design Industries.

The designers association will be in the space of Materials Village, exactly in Tortona District, where they will offer information about the latest tendencies, as smart fabrics that enterprises already have.

Salone del Mobile. Milano has become into the most important annual event in the sector of designers: the event receives more than 300.000 visitors, more than 1.300 exhibitors and several lounges (Eurocucina, Euroloce, Salone Internazionale del Bagno, etc.).

Among participants, we can find the twelve leader design enterprises with the young design studios as ABAD Design, dr.Minsky, MADEINBI and Muka Design Lab; in the sector of industry enterprises, Estudios Durero, Textia y Nueva Línea; and among the participating partners, ADN DESIGN, AGV Estudio, ITEM designworks, SMOTION and TXB Design.
