The Etxepare Basque Institute will be part of the Public Organism Equality Net

The Basque Women Institute, Emakunde, has set up a new network of public organisms in favour of gender equality, and the Etxepare Basque Institute will be part of it. The network was presented in detail yesterday to the representatives of all the participant organisms.
The objectives of this project are to work in favour of gender equality, to go on applying necessary politics, and to share each organism’s work in those terms. Emakunde’s head, Izaskun Landaida, stressed on the importance of public organisms as an example for others organizations.
The participants had the chance to learn about the exemplary experiences of the organisms EJIE and IHOBE and the strands of work of Emakunde. The institute also presented the characteristics of the new online platform that will available for the participants to find help and share information.
This project was supported by the Treasury and Finance Department Equality Unit, and the Direction of Citzen Attention and Administration Innovation, dependent on the Public Administrarion and Justice Department of the Basque Government; their representants also joined the meeting.

Apart from the Etxepare Basque Institute, 23 more organisms are involved in this new project: Alokabide, Basquetour, CEDEMI, CEIA, EJIE, Elika Fuondation, “Puerto Deportivo Vasco”, Euskal Irrati Telebista, the “Red Vasca de Ferrocarril”, Euskotren, Itelazpi, Izenpe, Metro Bilbao, Osakidetza, SPRI, URA Agentzia, VISESA, the “Orquesta de Euskadi”, IHOBE, Neiker, the “Agencia Vasca para Cooperación y Desarollo”, the HAZI foundation and the “Haurreskolak Patzuergoa”.
