Want to join the showcase circuit of the Monkey Week festival?

Euskal Herriko Musika Bulegoa, the Etxepare Basque Institute and Euskadiko Soinuak have begun working to coordinate and collaborate on the outer presence of Basque music under the brand ´Basque Music´. On this dynamics and forecasts for 2016 we will inform further in the coming weeks.

Through this communication, we want to advance that we have  launched, the Festival / Fair Monkey Week 2016, a call for any group or Basque soloist who so desires, to participate in the circuit of showcases of Monkey Week this year, to be held in Seville between 13 and 15 October.

The choice of the three Basque groups or soloists participating in showcases circuit will be done by the organization of Monkey Week. These three groups will have the opportunity to give two concerts during the celebration of this festival, which has become a benchmark statewide.

The registration period for groups or soloists who want to act under the name Basque Music runs from Wednesday 22 June to Thursday 7 July. Groups or soloists who have already registered can return to complete the form changing their data representation to enter into this call.

Basque groups introduced to Monkey Week can also apply for grants to attend the same in the call for music tours of the Etxepare Basque Institute. The deadline for applications for this call is 30 June.
