2015 call to select three artists for residencies in Wroclaw

Following the agreement signed last December between the Etxepare Basque Institute and Donostia / San Sebastián 2016 Foundation, the residence project for Basque artists in the city of Wroclaw (Poland), city that has been chosen along with Donostia-San Sebastián to be cultural capital of Europe in 2016, will continue in 2015. This program has been created in order to encourage mobility of creative projects and Basque artists and to promote the dialogue between different artistic disciplines and cultures and to enrich each other.


The purpose of this call is the selection of three Basque artists to perform an artistic residence Wroclaw. Those three creators will have the chance to develop a project aimed to have an artistic and cultural influence on the character of the Polish city, with the principles that inspire the capital projects of Wroclaw / Donostia as a basis. Artistic or cultural interventions in neighborhoods or unusual spaces for art, collaborative projects or involvement with agents or specific groups of citizens, initiatives that promote the discovery of covert or ignored realities will be specially assessed.


The deadline for applications is open until February 27, 2015.
