Hilario Rodeiro, Mirua, and Silitia at the next round of ‘Artistas en Ruta’

Artistas en ruta (Artists on the Road), organised by AIE (organisation that represents the intellectual property rights of music performers in Spain), has announced the Basque groups that will be performing live in venues around Spain in the second half of 2025: Hilario Rodeiro, Mirua, and Silitio.

AIEnRUTa- Artistas is a programme aimed at promoting live music and introducing audiences to new talent. It achieves its goal by organising a series of concerts throughout Spain over the course of the year. AIEnRuta consists of two rounds every year: the first from January to June, and the second from September to December.

The Etxepare Basque Institute works in partnership with AIEnRUTa-Artistas to secure the participation of Basque musicians in both rounds of the concert circuit.

Hilario Rodeiro

Galician musician (Santiago, 1981) residing in Andoain. Rodeiro is a performer, composer and improviser who has mastered various styles.

He is the head of Hilario Rodeiro Quinteto group, who published ´Pausa´. ´Pausa´ seamlessly navigates between instrumental pop-rock, chamber music, and experimental jazz. The tracks on his latest album are inspired by everyday pauses—those planned moments, instances that come to an end, or simply moments that unfold naturally.

Mirua

Formed in 2019, Mirua is made up of three friends: Maitane Iruiñ, Malentxo Zeberio and her brother Mattin Zeberio. Their unique musical style blends classic pop melodies and instruments with electronic and experimental indie sounds.

Mirua explores new sounds within Basque music, blending singer-songwriter lyrics –entirely written in Basque – with contemporary elements more akin to pop and synthesizers.

Silitia

This Bizkaia-born duo is Ibai Silicato (Lekeitio, 1997) and Xabier Barrutiak (Bilbao, 1999). They define their music as ‘brioche pop’ and when asked about their style, they say they make ‘punky-funky-elektro-rock’. created with every step they take, Silitia is a project in constantly evolution.

The extravagance of their compositions and live performances are as difficult to describe as they are unforgettable. In 2025, they released their latest album, Mirari Orok Tapatzen Zauria, which transcends a single style, with creativity as the driving force behind all their compositions.
