The Miptv media market at Cannes will take place from April 9th – 12th.  Basque companies will be present yet another year under the Basque Audiovisual umbrella, a brand created by Eiken (Basque Audiovisual and Digital Cluster), the Etxepare Basque Institute, and Zineuskadi.

Miptv one of the world’s most important television and media markets, a gathering place for digital entertainment industry professionals. The event provides an opportunity for producers, distributors and buyers from every continent to strike deals and promote the internationalization of content and formats in a global market.

The companies represented by Basque Audiovisual  this year are A Film to Kill For, Bilbao Seriesland, EiTB, Expressive Media Project, Pausoka Entertainment, Prime Time Media and The Blackout Project. Their products including animation, distribution, entertainment, documentaries and formats, will be included in the Basque Audiovisual catalogue. Eiken and Etxepare Basque Institute will also be present at Cannes, with a busy schedule liaising with international contacts to forge business opportunities for Basque companies.

Basque companies benefit the most from this event by being able to meet with professionals from around the world involved in the entire value chain of the audiovisual and digital content sector. For this reason, Eiken and the Etxepare Institute also want to promote the Basque Country as a prime location for international film production, and Eiken as the future link for filming.
