Hortzmuga, from Bilbao, will bring their latest show to Tàrrega on September 6, 7 and 8 at Parc Ondara: Bidaia (The Journey), a reflection on borders and walls at the times of individual illusory activism operating from the egocentric pathologies of our society. The dance company LaRutan will present their show Out of the Blue also on September 6, 7 and 8 at Plaça Nations: a duo street dance that celebrates the joy of dancing freely, disconnecting and breaking from the routine.
The duo of artists from Navarre, Itsaso Iribarren and Germán de la Riva, will offer a special show called Paseo Urbano (Urban Walk): a performative walk where, through sound, dance and the act of walking, the public will re-discover the town and its spaces, from a poetic and contemporary point of view. A moving activity that provides the participants with wireless headphones, where they can listen to different sounds.
In addition to the Basque companies included in the programme, four other Basque dance and theatre companies have been selected this year to participate in the pitching sessions of FiraTàrrega PRO. The sessions are a chance for artists to pitch their work before industry professionals to foster collaboration and co-production or to promote the circulation of their shows. Out of the 320 companies selected for pitching sessions, four of them are Basque: Zanguango Teatro and its project Al otro lado (On the Other Side); Dikothomia with Ego; Trapu Zaharra with Turisteando (Touristing) and Ortzi with Urbasa.
