Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.

2014-08-21

The Mercat de Música Viva de Vic will start on September 18, and this year two Basque groups will take part in the festival: Oreka TX and Kepa Junkera. The txalaparta-players will present their latest work, Silex, and Kepa Junkera will play together with the members of the group Sorginak.

This will be the 26th year for the festival that gathers professionals from different musical areas, and as always, will offer a varied program for the four days: you can enjoy concerts of different musical genres throughout the city. They will also organize the MVLAB, a meeting point for developers, institutions, festivals, companies, agencies, record companies and professionals of the music industry.

Oreka TX will present a disk showing a txalaparta that mixes both tradition and innovation. Kepa Junkera will soon approach 35 years on the stage, and with this project explains what for him is the essence of his music, while paying homage to his instrument.
