Berri Txarrak, winner of the Etxepare Award for the best Album in Basque language at MIN Awards; zorionak!

The group Berri Txarrak has won the Etxepare Award for the Best Album in Basque language at the Independent Music Awards, thanks to their latest and successful work Denbora da poligrafo bakarra; zorionak! The winner, chosen by the audience among the finalists- Gatibu, Joseba Irazoki, Kepa Junkera and Ruper Ordorika- was announced at last night´s gala awards ceremony. After receiving the award by director of the Etxepare Aizpea Goenaga, the trio offered a live performance. In addition, the Basque group Belako won the Best New Artist Award: zorionak to you too!
Coinciding with their 20th anniversary, Berri Txarrak has launched a triple album: Denbora da poligrafo bakarra. This is the result of a long journey that has stopped in three different locations with three producers to create three CDs: Harian, Helduleku guztiakandXake-Mate, recorded with Ross Robinson, Ricky Falkner and Bill Stevenson. A work that certainly deserves the award received.
The stars of the night, however, were Vetusta Morla, who got 7 awards, including Best Artist, Best Album and Best Song. The Independent Music Awards were born in 2009 to reward artistic the diversity and quality of independent production. They aim to bring the music and the creative process to the public. Those fans who could not attend the awards ceremony, followed by the network via the hashtag #PremiosMIN.
