Basque music and dance group Korrontzi offered a concert on Saturday, November 1, in the hall Le Rocher de Palmer, Bordeaux. Crowds of people went to the first taste of what will be a Basque music program for the season 2015-2016. Le Rocher de Palmer, the Etxepare Basque Institute and EKE have programmed a selection of performances of Basque music in the hall for the next season.

The agreement was signed on Friday between the three entities, and as a preview of what´s to come, they organized the concert by Korrontzi. The room filled with people and the folk sounds and Basque dance on stage; the perfect combination.

Through this agreement they want to strengthen the relationship between Aquitaine and the Basque country and bring closer the music of both territories, as Aizpea Goenaga, the Director of the Etxepare Institute, said in the press conference that was held on Friday.
