Call: Lecturer in Basque Studies at the University of Liverpool

The University of Liverpool is a pioneering center regarding international promotion of the Basque language and Culture and  teaching and research about Basque Studies. The center has had an Etxepare Basque Institute Basque Language and Culture Lecturer since 2011, and now –as a consecuence of the agreement signed with the Institute in 2013-, the The School of Histories, Languages and Cultures of the university is appointing a permanent Lecturer in Basque Studies. Candidates will have a PhD in a related subject, a Certificate in Basque Studies (EGA or equivalent), and a record of publications of international excellence. Experience of teaching Basque language and culture in Higher Education at undergraduate level is essential; experience of teaching at postgraduate level is desirable.
