The Etxepare Basque Institute and Le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) have partnered with Dantzerti (School of Dramatic Arts and Dance of Euskadi) to organise a dance research and creation residency in Montreal. The residency will be carried out in collaboration with Circuit-Est, Montreal´s dance and choreography centre.
The aim of this call is to select a dancer-choreographer to complete an artistic residency at Circuit-Est in Quebec. The call is aimed at Dantzerti graduates up to the age of 35. The residency will last between 6 and 8 weeks –to be decided with the selected candidate–, and will take place between the end of May and the beginning of July 2026.
The deadline for submitting applications for this call for dance research residencies is 27 March 2026 at 3 p.m. (Central European time).
This residency will take place within the framework of the Etxepare Basque Institute´s ‘Ça colle au basque’ project, an initiative designed to promote the Basque language and culture in French-speaking countries.
