The 20th International Congress on Minority Languages will be held from 24 to 27 June at Universidad Externado de Colombia in Bogotá. At the event, Kayleigh Karinen will present her research on the Basque language and well-being in Zuberoa, with support from the Etxepare Basque Institute.
Kayleigh Karinen
Researcher Kayleigh Karinen was awarded a grant by the Etxepare Basque Institute to undertake a research fellowship in Zuberoa in 2021. As part of this fellowship, she will present a paper on linguistic ideologies in the northern Basque Country at the upcoming conference in Colombia. Karinen was also a student in the Basque Studies language and culture programme in Helsinki, Finland, supported by the Etxepare Basque Institute.
