Euskadi goes on sounding in Madrid

This is the first edition for the festival Euskadi Sounds in Madrid (Euskadi Suena en Madrid), but if they go on filling the concert halls it won’t be the last. This weekend it was the turn of the project Jainko txiki eta jostalari hura, and once again, the Basque art has demonstrated that it is capable of attracting the audience outside its borders.

That is a project created between the writer Kirmen Uribe, the musicians Mikel Urdangarin, Rafa Rueda and Bingen Mendizabal and artist Mikel Valverde, who have come back together to launch a new work entitled Jainko txikieta  jostalari hura. This time, as the project Zaharregia, txikiegia agian, the work is based on mixing the different artistic disciplines to create a colorful, effective and totally fascinating spectacle. It was performed in Madrid on Friday.

The festival, an initiative promoted by Emankor Sarea and the Etxepare Basque Institute, lands in Madrid from 16 October to 20 November and aims influence on audience from outside our territory, spreading the music from the Basque country. The groupsOreka Tx, Willis Drummond, Travellín´Brothers, Ainara LeGardon and Tania de Sousa are also taking part in the festival.
