The director of the Etxepare Basque Institute, Aizpea Goenaga, continues her working visit to Argentina . These last days she has held several meetings with relevant institutions and cultural organizations in Buenos Aires, in order to make specific arrangements for the dissemination of the Basque culture. In addition, from 15th to 18th May she is representing our cultural industries and establishing new professional relationships for them at the famous MICSUR MICSUR, Mercado de Industiras Culturales del Sur in Mar de Plata .
On May 13, the director of the Institute met Hernán Lombardi, Minister of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, with whom he discussed the possibility of new spaces for visual arts exhibitions of Basque artists, and also how to ensure the effective presence of our creators - across disciplines - in the most relevant Argentine festivals .
One day later she met Rodolfo Hamawi, director of Cultural Industries of the Nation of Argentina , who has also shown a keen interest in working together with the Etxepare Basque Institute in order to open new channels for the Basque culture in that land, some of which could be launched imminently.
On another hand, the presence of Aizpea Goenaga at the MICSUR fair has also aroused curiosity for the Basque culture in various media ; the photo shows her yesterday, being interviewed by the Public TV Vision 7.
