Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
The International Festival of Street Arts and Theatre of Valladolid, TAC, celebrates its sixteenth edition between 27 and 31 May with a diverse programming which gathers national and international proposals that combine theater and circus tradition with more avant-garde languages and styles. Four Basque companies will take part at the festival: two street theater ones - Markeliñe and Trapu Zaharra- and two contemporary dance ones -Lasala and Victoria P. Miranda.
Markeliñe company presents the show "Andante" (28 and 29 May); Trapu Zaharra travels to the festival with “La Conga”(May 29,30,31); Lasala brings "Hooked" (29 and 30 May) and Victoria P. Miranda will represent "And that´s why I am here today" (28 and 29 May). In total, 54 companies and artists from 12 different countries will be participating in the festival of Valladolid.
The streets of Valladolid will be the stage for 170 performances ranging from street theater to circus, through the clown, mime, mask theater, dance and music and performative proposals, visual shows and sensory experiences. Viewers will be active members for the development of proposals, grouped into three sections: the Official Section, which will host the premiere of seven shows; North Station Section, which will present the latest works of five local companies; and Off section, which will have the circus as a protagonist.
