GAUR(sic) exhibition in Albi until June

The travelling exhibition GAUR (sic) is holding its ninth stop at the Centre D’Art Le Lait (France), in a show that opened on March 21 and will remain open until June 21. On the other hand, the exhibition has finisher its tour through America, after the last stop in the CCE of Santiago de Chile.

During the stay at Albi, the artists Iratxe Jaio and Klaas van Gorkum have also travelled to Le Lait and have released more details about the project and about their work in a series of events organized for that purpose. All of this is the result of the collaboration agreement signed this year between this important cultural center and the Etxepare Basque Institute.

The initiative, promoted by the Institute in 2011 in order to publicize the Basque contemporary video art in the international context, began with of a research project tha then materialized in an exhibition of works in video format, curated by Nekane Aramburu. The final selection shows eight creative proposals by artists Sra Polaroiska artists (Alaitz Arenzana and Maria Ibarretxe), Colombina´s (Larraitz Torres and Sandra Cuesta), Aitor Lajarin, Zuhar Iruretagoiena, Iratxe Jaio and Klaas van Gorkum, Saioa Olmo, Juan Aizpitarte and Ixone Sadaba.
