The colloquium ‘Ibéricas - Mujeres y mediación cultural en el espacio peninsular’ will take place from 23 to 25 November at the University of Lisbon’s Faculty of Letters. The programme will be divided into different parts, including a round table of Iberian women writers in which Uxue Alberdi will participate.
With support from the Etxepare Basque Institute, the Basque writer will join Dulce Maria Cardoso, María Sánchez and Juana Dolores on 25 November at 6:30pm.
‘Ibéricas - Mujeres y mediación cultural en el espacio peninsular’ aims to bring together researchers from different disciplines (literary, theatre and film studies, history, philosophy, feminist or gender studies) whose work has focused on women in different geo-cultural spaces of the Iberian Peninsula (through reception, criticism, translation or adaptation); who have established personal, professional, academic or creative networks beyond their own linguistic or national borders; or who have reflected or written about intra-Iberian cultural, historical and political relations.
All geo-cultural and linguistic areas of the Iberian Peninsula will be of interest to the subject of the colloquium, including the island regions.
