Kaunas 2022: Oki Moki

Kaunas, Lithuania´s second largest city, is this year´s European Capital of Culture. The city´s programme is committed to giving voice and space to young people through its Emerging Kaunas programme. Dance, street theatre, music, design, photography, and architecture will feature in an exciting calendar of activities throughout the year.

The extensive programme will include Basque talent with the garage rock band Oki Moki performing at the Kaunas Summer Stage on Saturday 30 July with support from the Etxepare Basque Institute.

Founded in 2016 by Aritz Aranburu and Paula Estévez, Oki Moki is still presenting their second album ´Working Class Pop´ (2020). After numerous concerts throughout the Iberian Peninsula last year, this summer the band will be immersed in a ten-concert European tour in cities including Lyon, Toulouse, Paris, Berlin and Frankfurt, before appearing on the Lithuanian stage.
