Kimuak 2020 short films

Next Thursday 25th February and Saturday 27th Frebruay, San Sebastian and Bilbao will respectively host the first public screenings of Kimuak 2020, the annual selection of short films made in the Basque Country.

Promoted by the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Basque Film Archive, Kimuak aims to promote and distribute Basque short films.

The titles included in this latest selection are the following:

• Barbudos (Larry Mankuso, Tucker Dávila Wood)
• Dar-dar (Paul Urkijo)
• Ehiza (Hauazkena Taldea)
• El ruido solar (Pablo Hernando)
• Interior Taxi Noche (Silvia Rey, Iban del Campo)
• Quebrantos (Koldo Almandoz, Maria Elorza)
• Ya no duermo (Marina Palacio)

The short films began their journey at the last San Sebastian International Film Festival and since then more than 100 festivals around the world have screened some of the film works included at Kimuak 2020. After passing through festivals such as Sitges, Montpellier, Festival dei Popoli, IndieCork or Tricky Women, this week´s screenings will be the first public screenings. Some of the authors will attend the events. 

Thursday´s screening will be at Tabakalera (Donostia / San Sebastian) at 18:00, and Saturday´s at the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, also at 18:00. Tickets are already on sale at the box office and websites of both centers.
