The Etxepare Basque Institute, EKE(Basque Cultural Association) and the spectacle hall Le Rocher de Palmer have today signed an agreement to launch a Basque music program for the 2015-2016 season at Le Rocher de Palmer, in Bordeaux . They have organized a press conference to present the agreement today, and, as a first touch of Basque music in Bordeaux, the group Korrontzi will perform a concert on Saturday.
Through this agreement they want to strengthen the relationship between Aquitaine and the Basque country and bring closer the music of both territories, as Aizpea Goenaga, the Director of the Etxepare Institute, said in the press conference that was held today.
Before the new season starts, and as a first tasting of Basque music, the group Korrontzi will offer a concert tomorrow, November 1, in the multipurpose room of Le Rocher de Palmer, at 20:30. Admission will be free to fill the seats.
