Mintzanet: Basque language wherever and whenever

Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.

2015-06-02

Have you heard about Mintzanet? It is the proposal that allows the practice of Basque language from anywhere in the world at any time created by Maramara * taldea. Thanks to a network platform, it is possible to arrange talks on any topic at the previously chosen time.

The project has two main protagonists: bidelaria (traveler) and bidelaguna (carer). The first one is a person who wants to practice and improve the level of Euskera; the second one , on the other hand, is a Basque-speaking person doing the work of guide and assistant, the one that helps practicing the language.

As a bridge between the two protagonists is Mintzanet, through talks on the online platform of the web of the project or through Skype. For example, students of the Etxepare Basque Institute readerships can talk from all over the world to Basque artists thanks to "Euskal Sortzaileak Sarean" program which works through Mintzanet.

This is a project managed by Maramara * taldea and has the support of the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Guipuzcoa and the Council of Donotia - San Sebastian.
