Proposal submission now open for TANZMESSE 2018

The International Dance Fair TANZMESSE will be held from August 29 to September 1, 2018 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Once again, the BASQUE DANCE stand will be organized by the Etxepare Basque Institute in collaboration with ADDE (Association of Dance Professionals of the Basque Country) at one of the most relevant fairs in the sector at European level. 

The International Dance Fair TANZMESSE will be held from August 29 to September 1, 2018 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Once again, the BASQUE DANCE stand will be organized by the Etxepare Basque Institute in collaboration with ADDE (Association of Dance Professionals of the Basque Country) at one of the most relevant fairs in the sector at European level. 

Dance companies can submit proposals to the fair to be assessed for inclusion in their performance programming. The application deadline is October 15, 2017. 

Applicants must first receive an invitation from a stand order before they can send proposals to TANZMESSE. Those interested in receiving the invitation should send an email before September 8 to a-aginagaldelopez@etxepare.eus, saying that they want to send a proposal to TANZMESSE. 

Two types of proposals are eligible: PERFORMANCE and OPEN STUDIO. 

• PERFORMANCE: a professional show that is prepared to go on tour. The show must be designed to take place in a theatre or be site-specific, and must be no longer than 60 minutes. 
• OPEN STUDIO: an unfinished show that will be in the process of being created at TANZMESSE in 2018. This should be a show-workshop that brings together pieces of the show, explanations on how the company works, the creative process of the show, etc. 

After receiving the invitation from the stand, the companies can request the Application Form for artistic proposals and send it to TANZMESSE along with the required documentation.
