"Small is big". That was the title of the last activity of the program for the dissemination of the Basque literature organized by the Etxepare Basque Institute from 24 to 27 September in the Bokmassan Göteborg Book Fair , and whose protagonists were Kirmen Uribe and Harkaitz Cano. The seminar both writers taught along with the journalist Andreas Ekstrom received a very warm welcome, and made it clear not only that there are no small languages, but that they are obviously two very great writers. This was also demonstrated in other events in which they participated: in the poetry readings that they offered in the "Poetry Room", in the talk by Kirmen Uribe and the Catalan writer Milena Busquets, in which they discusses the role of memory, or in the meeting held at the University of Gothenburg, in which Uribe and Cano analyzed, along with Mari Jose Olaziregi and Johann Järlehed, the role of Basque writers in Basque society.

In fact, the literature written in Basque has aroused keen interest in this international fair; the stand of the Institute has received many visits and inquiries, and may appointments have been held  with  editors and experts from various countries. Mari Jose Olaziregi, director for the Promotion and Dissemination of the Basque Language at the Etxepare Basque Institute has been therefore busy at the fair, where she also gave a talk on the dissemination of Basque culture together with Dolores Vilavedra, member of the Consello da Cultura Galega.
