Twenty-two Basque teachers will sit the HABE exams, designed using the same criteria as with the regular exams in Euskadi. Ten people will be taking the B1 exam and twelve, the B2. Both are levels of proficiency described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
This will be the second time that the HABE exams will be offered in Argentina; the first time was in October 2012, when around thirty students took the B1, B2 and C1 level exams.
Winter ‘barnetegi’ in Buenos Aires
Following the regular timeline for the Euskara Munduan programme in Argentina, in July a second intensive course will be offered to Basque language teachers in training. The course will run from Saturday, 20 July, to Friday, 26 July, and will focus on preparing students for the language exams.
Both the barnetegi classes and the exams will be held at Centro Laurak Bat, Av. Belgrano 1144, Buenos Aires.
