Spotlight on Koldo Almandoz in Mexico

Oreina, the latest film by Donostia-born filmmaker Koldo Almandoz, will premiere in Mexico as part of the Black Canvas Contemporary Film Festival, held October 1-8 in Mexico City.

Oreina, the latest film by Donostia-born filmmaker Koldo Almandoz, will premiere in Mexico as part of the Black Canvas Contemporary Film Festival, held October 1-8 in Mexico City. Along with the Oreina debut, the festival will include a special section focusing on the work of Koldo Almandoz. His two feature films, Oreina, 2018, and Sîpo Phantasma, 2016, and a selection of his short films will be screened. Almandoz will also conduct a masterclass.

Oreina was first presented last year at the San Sebastián Film Festival, taking the Irizar Basque Film Award. Since then it has been shown at 26 international film festivals. Oreina will be screened in Mexico in the coming weeks and will later go to Marseille, Rabat and Berlin.
