Three Basque artists or companies will participate in the 26th Valladolid International Street Theatre and Arts Festival. 

Zanguango, LASALA and Amaia Elizaran & Neønymus will participate in TAC Valladolid, held from 21 to 25 May, under the Basque Performing Arts brand.

Zanguango – ‘El peor espectáculo del mundo. De momento!!!’

A company whose work centers on collective creation techniques, emphasizing physicality, movement, and the use of space and rhythm as the core of dramatic action. Its themes explore human behavior in all its facets, highlighting the magical, disconcerting, and humorous aspects of the most everyday and familiar situations.

LASALA – ‘Burnt’

Led by Judith Argomaniz, the company focuses on the ongoing development of a unique physical language and a contemporary style that reflects the team’s concerns. It has received numerous awards, many of which honor not only the dance performance but also the aesthetic quality and visual presentation of its productions.

Amaia Elizaran & Neønymus-ek – ‘Iraun’

Dancer and choreographer Amaia Elizaran has created eight original contemporary dance pieces and participated in various cultural projects over the last ten years. The company celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2025.

Neønymus is a musical project by multidisciplinary artist Silberius de Ura, who employs his distinctive voice alongside a bold blend of electronic technolog,y such as loopers and voice processors, and prehistoric instruments. This fusion creates a musical and emotional narrative that transports listeners to distant periods in human history.

Professional breakfast

In addition to the performances of the companies, the Departament of Culture of the Basque Government, Etxepare Euskal Institutua and Artekale have convened a professional breakfast on May 23 at 11am. The breakfast to learn more about the Basque proposals in this edition and to strengthen ties with the performing arts system of Euskadi will be held under the brand Basque. Performing arts.
