The Catalan public has been able to enjoy 12 screenings, of which three have been awarded: Igelak (best fiction), Paris. Paperezko Ahotsak (best documentary) and Gutik Zura (best film in Basque).
Thanks to the strength of Basque cinema and the weight of this industry, Zinemaldia.Cat offers every year a high quality program. Actors, producers and directors attend the screenings to present their films, which adds value to the colloquiums. The fact that journalists and Catalan experts are also the moderators of these colloquiums strengthens the link between Catalonia and the Basque Country.
But Zinemaldia.Cat does not end in the screening rooms, and that is reflected in the success of the alternative program Alterzinemaldia. In this 12th edition they have organized, among others, a concert by Gatibu (authors of the soundtrack of Igelak) or a film tour trough the neighbourhood of Gràcia with the journalists Pere Vall and Jordi Izquierdo.
